Teleglobe solutions private limited celebrated International Girls in ICT Day 2019 " Social Networking for Virtual Safety& Empowerment of Girls and Women "on 21st April 2019 in Sunkoshi Secondary School Khangsang Phikkal -4 Sindhuli support from the Nepal Telecommunication Authority with the participants from four different government schools namely Sunkoshi Secondary School Khangsang Sindhuli, Phikkal Secondary School Solpa Bhangayang Sindhuli, Mahakali Secondary School Pori Khangsang Sindhuli and Shree Sunkoshi Secondary School Balakhu Gauda, Okhaldhunga. It helped  the opportunity to explore the young children parents, teachers to empower the women's and girls' through the ICT, create awareness about the importance and impacts of social media in this era, demonstrations of the advance Virtual Reality (VR) for the participants of the workshop on Girls in ICT in sindhuli. The participants enjoyed with the VR set up box and motivated with the invention of the new technology to boost the life in the information and communication sector

The event was  organized by the presenter Mr Shambhu Pahadi, Mr. Pralhad Aryal , Mr. Sudhan Shrestha,  Teleglobe solution private limited in the presence of Ms Rosa Kiran Basukala Deupty director NTA, Miss Neru Kumari Lekhak Assistant NTA, Mr Dhan Bahadur Karki Chairman ,Phikkal rural municipality, Ms Parbati Sunwar  Vice chairman,  phikkal rural municipality,  Mr Keshab Pahadi Principal Sunkoshi secondary school and Raj Dhungana ,  chairman ,Online kendra , teachers from the schools. There were altogether approximate 200 participants among them 156 are girls & women's and rest of them is male participants.

The event was followed with the distribution of T-Shirts printed with the Girls in ICT logo, provided the lunch to all the participants, distribution of participant's certificate, group photograph, sharing the participant's feelings, eager and interested in computer ICT. They were so happy towards the organizing team for selecting their locality for the celebration of the day and they got to know the opportunities and scopes of on ICT.

The main objectives of our project are as follows

•To empower our target audience with the information and basic knowledge of the social networking sites.

•To make them secure from the drawbacks of the social networking sites.

•To lessen the digital gap in the remote part of the country and make our target audience self confident in using the fruits of social media.

•To make teachers prepare their students on using such technologies and help them knowing the basics.

•To educate them about ethical hacking.

•To enable them grab the digital opportunities available.

•Helping them built leadership qualities among the targeted group

•To support and help in achieving the goals of Sustainable Development Goals such as quality education; gender equality; industry, innovation and infrastructure; and reduced equalities.

•Certification distribution for the participants


With the  project ,we  plan to reach out to every girl , provide the necessary knowledge on what she has to update in such sites and that she should be aware not be lulled into a 0 sense of security when it comes to protecting her personal information. It will also make them proactive in making crucial decisions in choosing whom & what to interact through social networking sites. With providing technical knowledge to our target group we’ll empower girls to be self-reliant and be confident in using the modern technology for their benefit.  Other include

The project will directly benefit 200 under privileged and less privileged poor and  adolescent girls and indirectly 500 family members

Girls and women got the importance of  ICT

Girls and Women girls would be able to earn their livelihood and upgrade their socio-economic status

Women will be empowered as the decision makers of their families as part of the project plan and will be given roles in planning, designing, implementation and participatory evaluation

Beneficiaries will be empowered with relevant IT skills to effectively compete in the global market

Women will be able to take up leading roles in local self-governance

Teachers and parents are beneficiaries  to inspire girls and women to consider studies carrier, opportunities offers in the ICT  industries
