The fifth time Engineering Institute of the Zaporizhzhia National University organized activities for the Girls in ICT Day in Zaporizhzhia.

Software Engineering  students and teachers  organized a celebration connected with IT for Zaporizhzhia pupils  with support of Cisco company and Institute of Education Content Modernization. More than 100 girls and boys from Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro schools will get pleasure from game zones and speaking with girls who have made a career in IT.

Virtual PC Challenge, Cisco Binary Championship, games with Ozobot and Zumo Robot, agile game "Pitch the Package" have only warmed up the schoolchildren.

Event partner,  IT-Dimension company give ability to chat with the Amazon Alexa voice assistant and play with a smart light.

Finally meeting with talented girls who work successfully in various IT areas. Vira Blusenkova, engineer at the Cisco Global Customer Support Center in Belgium, spoke about career opportunities in  computer network area. Graduates of the Engineering Institute ZNU, specialty Engineering Software shared their work experience in software development area. Olha Novikova, web designer  in  Face-IT Team and Kristina Shatts, front-end developer in Light IT company told how they chose work in IT and about gender policy in the IT area.

Everyone who attendes the Girls in ICT Day 2019, Cisco Networking Academy granted free access to the course “Introduction to the Internet of Things.”
