International Girls in ICT Day, an initiative backed by all ITU Member States in ITU Plenipotentiary Resolution 70(Rev. Dubai, 2018), aims to encourage and empower girls and young women to consider studies and careers in growing field of ICTs, enabling both girls and technology companies to reap the benefits of greater female participation in the ICT sector.

Our college Udaynarayanpur Govt. ITI has conducted a seminar on International Girls in ICT Day and Women Empowerment day on 25^th April 2019.

Like every day that day also started with the national anthem but that day had a difference. Unlike other days that day was international girls day in ICT which is ought to be celebrated every 4th thursday in the month of April every year. Hence our revered Principal Mr. Sudipta Paitandi made it special by giving a speech that not only did motivate our female students but also gave them the confidence that they needed to hold their ground. Getting the blessings and support of their respected principal sir made them feel especial and renewed their hope for their future.

1. Sensitizes employers on the need to promote gender balance in the ICT sector at all levels of the profession.
2. Is a global movement which aims at achieving gender equality and bridging the gender digital divide in line with 2030 agenda for the sustainable development.
3. Motivates millions of girls around the world who are passionate about science and technology.
4. Make every day Girls in ICT Day to inspire more girls and women to join tech industry.
