In Collaboration with Arab Women In Computing (ArabWIC) and Girls in Tech - Palestine
Girls in ICT day in Nablus aims to empower and encourage girls and young women to consider careers in the growing STEM/ICT sector.

At this day, 16 school girls (between the ages of 13–16) have participated in our event which aimed to inspire and encourage high school girls in Nablus to pursue their studies in STEM/ICT sectors through fun and educative workshops, as well as meet rolelocal models and learn about the wide range of educational and professionalopportunities the sector offers.

The sessions varied between basic digital skills, Online resources, Virtual Reality as follows:

  1. "Basic digital skills on how to create email accounts, and the importanceof cloud storage" - Ruba Awayes -  Computer Lab Instructor at An-Najah National University.
  2. "Get the most from internet learning resources (Riwaq , Idrak ... )" - Rami Salman- Third year Computer engineering student.
  3. "Public speaking and presentation skills" - Nour Abu Hijleh- Fifth year Computer Engineering student.
  4. "The highs and lows of being a woman in tech"- Razan Qraini- SeniorAndroid Engineer.
  5. "Introduction to mixed reality (AR & VR) & trying Firefox realityon Oculus go"- Yamama Shakaa- Teacher Assisstant at An-Najah NationalUniversity.

We had great time sharing our experiences with these amazing young girls. we promoted our event through social media in twitter using hashtags #GirlsinICT #NablusGirlsinICT , and @ArabWICPS @GirlsinTech @TechwomenPS accounts.
