Description of the event

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) proudly hosted the International Girls in ICT Day on 23 April 2026 at A. Shipena Secondary School in Windhoek, Namibia. In 2025 this school demonstrated exceptional performance in 2025, achieving 1st place at the Advanced Subsidiary level in Khomas Region and ranking an impressive 7th overall nationally. In addition CRAN donated four computers for their computer laboratory and ICT classroom. This contribution aims to support the school’s impressive academic achievements and bolster digital learning opportunities for students.The event featured, keynote address, an address on responsible use of AI, talk show, technologically centred quiz.
