On 24 April 2026, Morocco celebrated International Girls in ICT Day through an in-person awareness and inspiration event under the theme “AI for development: girls shaping the digital future”.The event aimed to promote girls’ participation in the digital sector and raise awareness about the opportunities offered by information and communication technologies, artificial intelligence, digital skills and cybersecurity.Through exchanges and awareness-raising activities, participants were encouraged to explore ICT-related fields, strengthen their confidence in using digital technologies and consider future opportunities in the digital economy.The event also highlighted Morocco’s commitment to digital transformation and to empowering young girls to take an active role in shaping the digital future.
