Description of the event
|
The Jazeera ICT Girls initiative, established on May 5, 2025, at Jazeera University, is a technical "sisterhood" that bridges the gender digital divide through a "Learning by Doing" framework. This year’s flagship achievements include:InnovateHER Challenge: A 3-day hackathon where teams built AI-powered web applications (PHP/MySQL) for real-world solutions like smart job portals and education platforms.Integrated AI-IoT System: A hardware-software ecosystem where IoT sensors transmit live data to a web dashboard for AI-driven predictive analysis.Digital Entrepreneurship: The launch of Sukyna Creative Hub, a marketplace transitioning local artisans to professional e-commerce using AI design tools.Leadership & Advocacy: Launching an AI Insights Blog and a celebratory app to foster digital literacy and mentorship for Somali women.Aligned with ITU Girls in ICT standards, the program equips participants with technical mastery in AI, IoT, and backend development, ensuring Somali women lead the nation’s digital transformation.
