Description of the event

The INTIC will associate itself with the celebration of this date through the Safer Internet Centre, within the framework of the International Girls in ICT Day 2026, a global initiative promoted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) aimed at inspiring and encouraging girls and young women to pursue studies and careers in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).The event will include a workshop featuring testimonials from women leaders in ICT and a school lecture, providing students with direct contact with professionals from the sector, career guidance, as well as knowledge on emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.Primarily targeted at secondary school students, youth, and teachers, the event seeks to strengthen female interest and participation in ICT, stimulate innovation, and contribute to reducing gender inequalities within the digital ecosystem, thereby promoting more inclusive and sustainable development.
