Description of the event
|
The National Communications Regulatory Authority of Mozambique (INCM) will host a full-day Girls in ICT Day 2026 event aimed at inspiring and empowering young women and girls to pursue careers in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital skills.The programme is structured into two complementary sessions. The morning session will provide a high-level perspective on the global and national context, including the gender digital divide, the status of Mozambique’s AI strategy, and inspirational talks from women in innovation, academia, regulation, and the private sector. It will also feature testimonials from startups incubated under INCM’s ThinkLab initiative.The afternoon session will focus on practical engagement through an AI & Digital Skills Lab, offering hands-on experience with data, dashboards, and geospatial tools, facilitated by ITU Study Group 17 members.
