Description of the event
|
Curious Minds is a dynamic, 8-month extension and mentoring program designed for high-potential Year 8 and 9 girls across Australia.It supports students who may have limited access to STEM opportunities due to geographic location (including regional and remote areas), socio-economic background, and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity.Through a unique combination of a residential Summer Camp in December, a virtual Winter Camp in July, and ongoing mentoring, students dive into hands-on STEM experiences, build confidence, and discover exciting study and career pathways.Since launching in 2015, Curious Minds has supported more than 860 students across Australia – sparking curiosity, building confidence, and creating lasting connections in STEM.Summer residential camps in Canberra 1-6 December 2025 and Adelaide 8-13 December 2025 welcomed participation from 119 students.The Winter Online Camp will run from 6-10 July, bringing together the combined cohort of 119 students who attending both summer camps.
