Description of the event
|
The “STEM4Women EC” event, promoted by the Immersive Learning Network (RAIN) in partnership with Mujeres TIC EC, is an initiative that empowers high school women in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Its purpose is to reduce the gender gap in technology by fostering leadership, confidence, and access to real training opportunities.Through hands-on workshops, talks, and competitions, participants strengthen their skills in innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving with social impact.The project has benefited more than 1,300 students nationwide. In 2025, its third edition took place in eight locations, reaching 756 students from 16 institutions in seven cities, with 35 workshops and the participation of 22 experts and 9 young leaders.As a milestone in 2026, the event will reach 12 locations, impacting 1,800 students. Thanks to a partnership with the private sector, 200 scholarships will be awarded in robotics, artificial intelligence, and video game development. Additionally, a nationwide immersive gallery will be launched featuring 300 profiles of Ecuadorian scientists and budding scientists, showcasing role models and inspiring new gene
