International Girls in ICT Day is an initiative organized by the University College of Applied Sciences UCAS to create a global environment that empowers and encourages girls and young women to consider careers in the growing field of information and communication technologies (ICTs). International Girls in ICT Day is celebrated on the last week of April of each year. The activities:- Technological competitions- Success stories for girls in ICT- Online training- Live dialogues- Virtual meetingsObjectives:- Share with the global community in celebrating this day.- Developing a career-wise young girls’ generation in ICT. - Support girls in high schools to build innovative projects in ICT. - To empower young girls in technology through supporting innovation.- To supply the need of many girls in high schools to extend their knowledge about the local updates of the current ICT jobs and opportunities.- To encourage girls of the new generations to study and career in ICT.- To encourage the graduates to have a role in the local current ICT market.
