Description of the event

Girls aged 12 - 18 joined us for a one-day workshop on breaking barriers to address the global gender gap in STEM roles. The day included; - Inspiring talks from female role models in STEM fields - Collaborative learning session addressing some barriers to girls & young women pursuing a future in STEM - 'Nano-hackathon' team challenge where attendees designed a website/application to address one of the problems identified as contributing to the gender gap in STEM rolesAttendees were also given free learning resources & career guidance support via our open padlet (which is available for the wider community to benefit from and contribute to!): https://padlet.com/thegoodnetwork/girls-in-ict-day-learning-resources-xtk00yyplg0bdnxy
