Great meeting with fellow #WomenInICT at PNG University of Technology to put together #GirlsInICTDay program to be hosted at Unitech on Girls in ICT Day Thursday 27th April 2023- Theme: Digital Skills for Life! Why a Girls in ICT Day? Well for a start, fun fact learnt - there's only 2 female IT part of the Unitech ICT Services Department. How many in your ICT Dept? or Institution?Numbers looking better over the years and we hope for many more girls to consider taking up ICT professional and leadership roles! Digital Skills for Life being the theme - we all agreed that one day soon, Digital Skills will be considered a core subject in primary and secondary for all grades!Happy to have Ms Georgina Kiele join us repping Women in ICT Govt Sector and especially our own ICT Govt department PNG Department of Information and Communications Technology and to finally meet up with Reggie-Anne Banjua and Cathlyn Kabui (Unitech ICT Services) who we've only met virtually through LinkedIn and emails =) (Thank you!)Great discussions around so many other topics around ICT in so little time! Start to many more conversations! 👏 🤗We look forward to commemorating #GirlsInICTDay at Unitech and invite fellow ICT girls and boys, ICT men and women in Lae to come be a part of the event too! More details to be posted soon!(post on linkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/posts/carolepng_womeninict-girlsinictday-girlsinictday-activity-7052256833574502400-3pBy?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop )Pic: Carole Cholai, Adventist Technology Assistant IT Manager/PNGICTMeri, Reggie-Anne Banjua, PNG Unitech ICT Services Support Team Lead & Asst.
