Description of the event
|
Within the framework of the International Day of Girls in ICT initiated by the ITUCAYSTI is organizing discovery days on 27 April 2023 (Yaounde) and 29 April 2023 (Douala) with practical and inspiring activities for young girls and the general public.This event organized as open days will bring together groups of students from high schools and colleges in Cameroon at the Melen I public school (Yaoundé) and the IFC Douala from 9 am.It has a triple objective: 1) to highlight the contribution and potential of young Cameroonian girls in the ICT and technology professions in general, 2) to connect young girls to learning opportunities through practical workshops on technological tools *(robotics, computer coding, 3D modeling & printing, artificial intelligence, etc.)* and finally 3) Strengthen advocacy for equal access to skills, decent jobs, and finance.The JPO is sponsored by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications with the support of UNICEF.
