Description of the event
|
Hour of Code #MYGirlsCan 2023 Campaign aims to expose students to coding and computer science basics using fun methods. It is implemented online at Code.org, which has impacted tens of millions of students in over 180 countries every year. This year, the event received the participation from more than 8000 students, with the involvement of 623 schools nationwide (Malaysia).Participation was opened to all Malaysian students (including government and private schools) aged 7 to 17 years old (primary and secondary schools).Participants were tasked to complete module on creating 3D games (such as T-REX and Tetherball) as well as creating digital posters.The campaign period was from 7 June 2023 - 14 July 2023. The campaign was launched by H.E. Fahmi Fadzil, the Minister of Communications and Digital (KKD), Malaysia with the presence of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) Chairman, Mr. Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, the Secretary General of KKD, Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa and MDEC CEO, Ts. Mahadhir Aziz.
