Girls in ICT Day is a global initiative that aims to inspire and empower girls and young women to pursue careers in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT). FINAM and its partners namely Institut Français de Maurice, French Tech Mauritius, University of Mauritius and Objectivity are delighted to invite you to join us for a special event on April 27th, 2023, to celebrate this important occasion.Our event will consist of two parts: - The first part will be a panel discussion on IP & Women, where we will hear from experts and practitioners on how intellectual property rights can support women's innovation and entrepreneurship in ICT. We will also learn about the challenges and opportunities that women face in the IP system and how to overcome them.- The second part will be a workshop to design an action plan to raise awareness about ICT careers among secondary school students in Mauritius. We will brainstorm ideas and strategies to engage and motivate girls to explore the possibilities of ICT and to showcase the role models and success stories of women in this sector. The event will be held at Institut Français de Maurice, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
