INTRODUCTION:Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is growing rapidly withinnovations and advancements emerging every day. However, the industryremains male-dominated with women significantly underrepresented. Toaddress this gender gap it is important to encourage girls to pursue careers inSTEM/ICT and provide them with the necessary support and resources tosucceed.This proposal outlines a plan to support a Girls in ICT event aimed at inspiringand empowering young girls to consider careers in STEM/ICT.OBJECTIVES:To increase awareness among girls of the opportunities available in ICT.To provide girls with role models and mentors in the ICT field.To encourage girls to pursue education and training in ICT.To create a supportive community of girls interested in ICT.The Girls in ICT event will include a range of activities designed to achieve theabove objectives they include:1. Keynote speeches by women leaders in the ICT industry, who will sharetheir experiences and insights on career paths in ICT;2. Interactive workshops and activities, where girls will have theopportunity to learn new ICT skills and explore different areas of theindustry;
