Description of the event

CodeMaven 2.0 will run in hybrid online and face-to-face (F2F) mode. The event consists of 1 virtual launch session + 4 asynchronous mini coding workshops + 1 F2F coding challenge. CodeMaven 2.0 Launch Day: 28 April 2023 (Friday) • Time: 8.00 – 9.00 p.m.• Platform: Zoom• Open to students nationwide.• Local female guest speaker: ICT career.• Program introduction: Create animated stories using Scratch.CodeMaven 2.0 CodeBytes (Asynchronous Mini Workshops): 28 April – 1 May 2023 (Friday – Monday) • Each CodeByte (i.e., 20-minute short video recording on a coding concept) will be released on our web and social media platforms.• The mini workshops will be divided into four parts. Each mini workshop will cover a basic coding concept that can help participants create animated stories. • CodeByte 2.1 (to be released at the end of Launch Day): 28 April 2023• CodeByte 2.2: 29 April 2023• CodeByte 2.3: 30 April 2023• CodeByte 2.4: 1 May 2023CodeMaven 2.0 Code Jam (F2F Half-Day Coding Hackathon): 6 May 2023 (Saturday)• Half-day F2F hackathon for 30 girls to compete in a coding challenge.
