Description of the event
|
This will be our 6th year celebrating International Girls in ICT Day and after 3 years online we are excited to once again come together for an in-person event, to be held this year in Salford. Each year this event is organised as a group from BBC WiSTEM (the Women in STEM staff network) in partnership with BBC STEM.We will be welcoming around 40 schoolgirls to participate in a day of workshops showcasing some of our fantastic STEM and ICT associated work. Throughout the day the girls will also meet some of the inspiring women and men who work in related roles, demonstrating the breadth of opportunities available here at the BBC. The event will close with a panel discussion and Q&A.
