A moment to celebrate Girls in ICT in Asuansi Technical Institute (ASUTECH). ASUTECH is the first Technical Institution in Ghana, established on 12th August, 1917. In 2018, the institute introduced ICT/Computer Hardware Technology as a course. The event will recognize and celebrate the Girls in ICT in ASUTECH, as part of career guidance in ICT, bridging the gender gap, revealing opportunities in ICT, and motivating the students, especially the Girls in ICT, under the theme Digital Skills for Life. The event will be observed on the 27th of April, 2023 at ASUTECH Assembly Hall. There shall be a display of digital skills by the Girls in ICT. There will be speeches delivered either virtual or in presence of dignitaries such as educational directors, women in higher positions and ICT Career Women in Ghana and abroad. There will be gift sharing and a platform for creating general awareness of the need for the female students to embrace ICT/Technology at any level of education. Preliminaries include virtual meetings from 20th-26th April. The event will coalesce the fifth-year anniversary of the ICT/CHT Department and the launching of Girls in ICT of Asuansi Technical Institute (ASUTECH).
