Description of the event
|
The goal of TECH-GIRL EMPOWERED is to create, sustain and increase the interest of young ladies to pursue courses in the area of Technology in order to explore the tech space. Through this event, we seek to interact with social structures and local institutions to promote female STEM education through collaboration. PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES • Demystify myths and misconceptions that serve as barriers to feminine participation in STEM. • Build the interest of young women (Girls) in Technology.• Encourage young girls to go into STEM-related careers.• Increase awareness of the importance of technology for girls and women in nation building. PROGRAMME ACTIVITY• The program is in three sessionsPART 1- Panel Discussion by seven speakersPART 2- Exhibition by participating Schools of their innovations in ICTPART 3- Practical Training Session ( Lot and Cyber security)PARTICIPANTS: JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL, SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
