mJangale. mJangale is a coding school that offers affordable hands-on online, face-to-face or hybrid courses to inspire and prepare young Africans for careers in technologyIt introduces young people from primary to high school to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). His workshops include mobile and web development, Python and JavaScript programming, introduction to computer tools, Scratch, handling drones and robots, data science, computer security and Fashion Tech. It also trains teachers and education workers. mJangale has trained more than 4,000 young people (58% young women) in Senegal.Following COVID-19, mJangale started offering online courses to expand and reach more young people in Senegal and Africa. She has trained over 400 students online. Two (online) hackathons were organized in February - including a hackathon where high school students from Senegal collaborated with high school students in the United States.
