GAN Global is requesting participation from Members and Partners for a virtual event to spotlight the importance of leveraging work-based learning (WBL) programs that increase the participation of women in STEM occupations, where they are currently underrepresented. Objectives• Raise awareness on the obstacles girls and women face in cultivating a career in STEM. • Highlight work-based learning solutions offered by GAN member companies that encourage women to take up WBL opportunities in STEM fields. • Bring in GAN partners to review the specific policy landscape in which the private sector examples are highlighted to discuss how barriers were lowered for the private sector and how effective partnerships can enable the uptake of WBL for girls and women in STEM.
