Description of the event
|
This is a GSMA Tech4Girls Mobile App Workshop powered by the EQUALS Global Partnership for Digital Gender Equality and supported by the Commonwealth Businesswomen's Network (CBWN), Verizon, ITU and Rova Digital targeting 60 girls and young women (ages 12 to 16) from across the Commonwealth (mainly Caribbean, Africa, Southeast Asia and Europe regions). The workshop aims to teach participants a new set of digital skills as to help them shift from just consuming information to becoming digital creators. In this workshop, the participants will learn the basics of creating Mobile applications. The project of the mobile application is to create an electronic book that represents women in STEAM role models from across the Commonwealth. The participants will develop and design their own women role models storybook using Thunkable.
