Description of the event
|
The event will be hold in the framework of the International “Girls in ICT day”, initiated by International Telecommunication Union (ITU), on 8th of April, 2011 and celebrated every year on the fourth Thursday in April. The main goal of the conference is to encourage and direct girls and women to study and work in IT-related positions and to develop their own careers in the field of IT.At International Girls in ICT Day that will take place on April 22 at 17:00, Femmes Digitales will provide detailed information to women on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) topics. Jana Krimpe, is an accomplished visionary in e-Government as well as in digital identity and e-signature technology. Previously her professional experience includes a role as an Advisor in the Office for two consecutive Presidents of the Republic of Estonia. With 15+ years’ experience in implementing innovative ICT solutions, she has earned a strong reputation for success in international circles.In 2019 and 2018, she was named in the U.S. based One World Identity’s top 100 Digital Identity influencers global list. In 2016, the Financial Times and Google listed her among the top 100 change-makers. In addition to being the founder of B.EST Solutions, an award-winning leader in digital identity recognized by the likes of United Nations, OECD and NIST. Mrs. Krimpe is the head of the Mobile-ID Consortium in Azerbaijan and cochair of the Global Alliance for National Mobile Identities (GANMI) established in Brussels. Additionally, the co-founder of the Azerbaijan Women in ICT association Femmes Digitales and Chairwoman of the Azerbaijani-Estonian Chamber of Commerce. She is passionate about providing expertise based on the hands-on experience she and her colleagues gained successfully implementing and operating e-Governmental solutions in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Kristel Kruustük, is the co-founder of Testlio, a startup that tests software. Nominated ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2017 in Estonia, she’s the youngest female millionaire in the country and a prominent figure in the European tech industry. Today, Testlio is supporting clients like Microsoft, Amazon, CBS, Etsy, Hotels.com and the NBA (who collectively power over 1.5 billion users worldwide). The company has 80 full-time distributed employees (Europe & US) and powers a network of 10K vetted, expert, professional testers in over 100 countries which Kristel oversees. Many Estonian startup entrepreneurs point out that Kristel Kruustük has become an inspiring role model for hundreds of women who are now willing to try their hand in IT and even dream about becoming entrepreneurs and leaders. “You will not be very good at it as you start and it will take a while to excel. You need to practice a lot and learn it by doing, sometimes going slower and then adding speed if needed.”

Khaver Babazadeh- CTO, Azercell TelecomThe Head of Budgeting&Simplification section in Network Technologies department in Azercell, the biggest mobile network operator of the country; has 23 years of experience in mobile network operations, of which over 6 years as CTO; she is only woman assigned to the CTO position in the company and was the first woman in CTO position among other operators in the TeliaSonera Eurasia group; throughout her carrier has played key role in major innovative projects like first mobile network in Baku metro and in the Oil Rocks town in the sea, first inbuilding network solution implementation in Baku, launch of 3G and 4G networks, setup of the operator’s fiber optic infrastructure; was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Engineer" by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for her effective activities in the field of ICT; career path of Khaver Babazade, known for her achievements in ICT in Azerbaijan continues to be one of the best examples of women’s success in this sphere. “Most obstacles are overcome by setting mind free from common constraints. Gender does not count, endeavor, hard work, free mind – these things matter.”

Gunay Kazimzade – Award winning Doctoral Researcher on AI, TEDx speaker, Advisor to the Head at E-gov Development center.She is Advisor to the CEO at E-gov Development center, Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at the Technical University of Berlin. She is a TEDx speaker and Google scholar who was awarded as "Artificial Intelligence Newcomer" of Germany in 2019. She is a Presidential Youth Award winner in Azerbaijan who founded the social platform “TechCentrum” which is aiming for knowledge exchange in the Emerging Tech field.

Shahla Mammadova- - Enterprise Agile Coach at PASHA Bank – one of the biggest banks in Azerbaijan. She is Agile and Digital Transformation expert and co-Founder of Femmes Digitales. With more than 13 years of experience in Software Project and Product Management she managed more than 15 complex IT project in different industries in Azerbaijan and Central Asia. She has worked in different Technology companies like Ultra Technologies, Cybernet LLC, PASHA Bank-Digital Lab. One of the founders of Azerbaijan Women in ICT Club – FEMMES DIGITALES. Mentor of International W.A.T (Women in Agile and Tech) Program. Winner of the “Women in STEM” competition organized by U.S. Government and represented Azerbaijan in U.S. in 2017. The biggest projects she managed: E-Education system for the Ministry of Education, E-Library system for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Library Circulation system for the Azerbaijan National Library, International Data Exchange System for the Ministry of Taxes, E-Municipality, Document Management System for different state organizations, Automated Banking Information System for CDB, Online Bank for CDB, Integrated Information System for the Republic Center for Health Development (RCHD) of Kazakhstan by request of Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan and etc. Now she is responsible for Agile and Digital Transformation of PASHA Bank and coaching sales & product squads (Digital Platform, Accounts, Payments, Acquiring, Issuing, FMCG) and tribes.

Medina Guliyeva - Doctoral Researcher at University College London | Nanomedicine | Co-founder at Azerbaijan Science Association, United Kingdom.Madina Guliyeva - received her Bachelor's degree in "Neuroscience", Master’s degree in Nanotechnology & Regenerative Medicine at the University College London. Currently, she is a doctoral researcher at the Department of Surgical Biotechnology at the University College London. Medina is also an associate fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) and currently teaches both bachelor's and master's degrees in Medical Nanotechnology at University College London. The main scientific interests of Medina are related to the change of physiochemical properties of nanoparticles in different biological environments. In addition, Medina recently published an article in the British Journal of Anesthesia (impact factor 5.41). Medina is a co-founder of Azerbaijani Science Association.

Rahila Aliyarzadeh- the Honored Teacher of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Deputy Director on ICT of Baku European Lyceum.Higher education: Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University - Specialty: Computer aided information processing and control systems.She was the winner of the "100 Best Teachers of the Year" competition in the nomination of "The Best Educator in e-Governance." She is the co-author of the 2nd grade computer science textbook. The author of a number of articles in the field of ICT. Since 2012, she has been working at a UNESCO Associate School, the Baku European Lyceum, as a coordinator of the UNESCO Education for the Future ICT project. The founder of the "ICT Masters Organization" consisting of students within this project. In 2016-2017, she was the head of the UNESCO-Globallab online Azerbaijan platform.She has represented Azerbaijan as an expert in a number of international conferences, competitions, and webinars in the field of ICT in education (Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria, Poland, etc.). The winner of the first Microsoft Innovative Teachers Competition and the representative of Azerbaijan in Vienna, Austria. For many years, she has been working as a coordinator for interactive whiteboards, a methodologist for the “1 student: 1 computer” project, and has trained trainers at the national level (TOT).
