Description of the event
|
At Middlesex University Dubai, as part of our socio-economic responsibility of making STEM education equitable for all, we have taken the lead on many Women in STEM and Girls in ICT campaigns in the region. For example, in partnership with the industry, we have organized conferences, hackathons, and awareness campaigns for the youth. This year again, we were pleased to be a part of the Global Learn-A-Thon initiative from Cisco to spread awareness about Cybersecurity. We facilitated the free course under our Cisco Net Academy partnership which was very well received. Cisco is doing live broadcast event around the world and we are very happy to be associated with cisco and participating in this social cause.The event on April 22, 2021 we themed it to celebrate the success of women in the field of cybersecurity. So as part of agenda, on the panel discussion, we have three dynamic and successful women in cybersecurity Neha Malhorta, Sally Harby and Confidence Stavely.
