Through the Facebook platform we have shared to teachers the experience of the national woman scientist Pamela Pennington member of the international organization of women in science for development OWSD (https://owsd.net/career-development/early-career-women-scientists-ecws-fellowships).On this occasion Pamela shared her personal motivation and path from being a child interested in science to become a scientists with international experience. The aim was to motivate teachers to have an inspirational role for their students overcoming cultural and social stigma related to STEM area and girls. We worked during the event with women teachers in promoting science and inspire other teachers to support their students and in particular girls interested in science. This event is part of monthly organized meetings we propose to teachers through the same platform in the STEM area. On this event, like on the other occasions, we aim at reducing the gap between teachers' preparation in the STEM and TIC area so that their students can access a better education in this areas. We believe that teachers play a pivotal role and working with them on crucial issues like gender and technology can lead to changes. impact on girls will be the result of this process with teachers.
