Description of the event
|
On the occasion of the International Girls in ICT Day 2021 on April 22, Socialinnov dedicates the week 19-23/04 exclusively to female students who want to take their first steps in the ICT industry!The talk is suitable for teachers, parents and students. During the talk the dimensions of STEM education will be presented in direct connection with the educational practice. Through examples of interdisciplinary approaches, unplugged STEM and physical computing will be analyzed and the connection between computational thinking and STEM will be highlighted. Also, reference will be made to the connection of STEM education with the field of professions, but also to the position of women in STEM professions.

Socialinnov is an NGO based in Greece, that acts as technology educational hive with a mission to transform education and offer to youth, underserved communities and educators the opportunity to acquire training in digital skills and gain agile business skills in order to upskill and reskill professionally.
