Oracle Volunteers offer this multi-session training to girls in smaller cities .Opportunities here are fewer and slower to reach. The project aims to increase representation of girls in courses and careers in Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM). It also aims to increase the confidence and performance of girls in these courses. An early initiation in a fun method, to computational thinking will make a huge difference to pursue STEM subjects. Though coding is seen as a highly technical skill, it is in fact, another form of literacy of 21st-century.It promotes logical thinking ,creativity, persistence, resilience, communication skills, structural thinking and problem solving skills. Girls from classes 7 and 8 participate and work along with the facilitator. They work on Scratch by Raspberry Pi Foundation. The participating schools are Dr. Kondabolu Lakshmi Prasad Public School and Vignan School at Guntur.
