As a result of the pandemic, many schools around the world are shut, but learning has to continue. The Women's Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC) - Nigeria celebrated the 2020 International Girls in ICT Day in collaboration with COMPSUDEV - Cameroon with a special webinar session for girls and women on Thursday, 23rd April, 2020 via Zoom. The event was geared towards achieving the day’s initiative, which is to celebrate, encourage and inspire more girls into the ICT field and it intends to. Target audience of the event were: - Girls (13 years and up 25)

At this webinar, participants learnt: - Online learning platforms to ensure that education & learning does not stop, even at this period.
- Strategies to Stay Motivated when studying online.
At the webinar, participants also had the opportunity to get valuable answers and clarifications to questions they had. About the organizers: a. The Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC)is a Nigerian nonprofit organisation committed to building a more inclusive technology ecosystem, with the next generation of women technology creators, entrepreneurs and leaders. Out programmes encourage more girls to pursue technology careers and support women (entrepreneurs and in civil society) to use technology confidently to increase their economic power and ability to speak about issues affecting their lives. b. Community Participation in Sustainable Development (COMPSUDEV) is a social enterprise based in Cameroon that connects underserved young people and groups with sustainable opportunities. Foster economic empowerment and the use of ICT tools to solve problems facing local communities.
