NATCOM BOOSTS COVID-19 FIGHT IN SIERRA LEONE - 20/04/2020

National Telecommunications Commission (NATCOM) has boosted the fight against corona virus in Sierra Leone by donating fifty (50) hand wash equipment to be distributed across the country in support of the fight to prevent Covid-19. The commissioning of the handwashing equipment was held at the Commission’s head office at Hill Station in Freetown. The hand wash equipment are to be used in public places in the North, North-west, East, South, Western Area Urban and Western Area rural regions in Sierra Leone (comprising all sixteen districts). At the launch at NATCOM’s head office, The Director General of NATCOM, Daniel Kaitibi informed all that the purpose of the donation was to save lives in complimenting the efforts of Government in the fight against the spread of Covid-19. He furthered that one of the foremost things to do was to improve on personal hygiene by effective hand washing and continuing social distancing. He continued to say that NATCOM will put in place other series of interventions in the fight against corona virus in Sierra Leone so that work will return to a new normal soonest.
