| The government of Estonia sent e-mail to all e-mail addresses in the population register and an SMS to customers of Estonian mobile operators informing people of the new movement restrictions that have taken effect and of changes in the opening hours of commercial and catering establishments to be enforced. The Information System Authority sent the information letter prepared in Estonian, English, and Russian to approximately 900,000 e-mail addresses. This is the second time during the coronavirus crisis that an e-mail with guidelines is sent to all residents of Estonia. The content of the SMS urges people to stay at home and while in public, strictly follow the 2+2 principle: public gatherings are limited to two people and everyone must stay at least 2 metres away from other people. The SMS was sent to all SIM card devices of Estonian operators located in Estonian networks. |
