| Office of the national Broadcasting and Telecommunications CommissionTo support the Government policy on “Working From Home”, the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has worked with five telecommunication service providers to provide the following assistance during the COVID-19 outbreak to mobile users: 1. Providing extra 10GB to mobile phone users who currently have the Internet package not more than 10GB for free of charge. How to apply? To apply for extra Internet package for free of charge, mobile phone users can dial *170* follow by the 13-digit National ID number then # and call. Mobile users will receive confirmation by SMS. Once mobile phone users receive it, the free Internet package can be used up to 30 days or until the 10GB is finished.The registration starts from 10th to 30th April 2020.It is exclusively reserved for Thai citizens who have Sim-card registration before 31st March 2020. 2. Providing fixed Broadband users who currently have speed below 100mbps will automatically be upgraded to 100mbps. for 30 days from 10th April 2020 onwards. 3. Offering 100-minutes voice calls for 45 days for free of charge to mobile users per number per operator. Mobile users will be able to register from 1 to 15 May 2020. It applies to both prepaid and postpaid mobile users. However subscriptions by foreigners or corporate names are not eligible for the scheme. Mobile users can press*170* followed by their 13-digit ID number, then press# and dialing. |
