| Since the outbreak of the health crisis linked to the COVID-19 pandemic it was constated the dissemination of fake news, news and rumors, claiming that the coronavirus is directly linked to the implementation of 5G. The ARCEP launched a Press realese to formally deny this false news: 5G mobile telephone networks do not spread the COVID-19 and the virus does not circulate on the radio waves or by mobile networks, whether 2G, 3G or 4G. Telecommunication networks are today an essential to combating the spread of COVID-19 in Togo, in particular by allowing all users to access valuable information on the pandemic and actors on the front line to be informed in real time via the Internet on the evolution of the pandemic in order to be able to provide an appropriate response. |
