| Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) regulates broadcasting and telecommunications services. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic the NCC has: 1) Made clear to service providers and the public its stance on the dissemination of inaccurate news or broadcast features relating to the Coronavirus, as well as where reliable information can be obtained. It has encouraged broadcasters to fact check their information before airing it. 2) Relaxed airtime restrictions so that broadcasters are credited with an equal amount of airtime for any public service broadcasts they air. |
