Telecom giant Airtel Nigeria has pledged $4.9 million dollars to help curb the spread of the Coronavirus. The sum will be notably spent on provisions of an isolation centre or any required medical facility, as well as over 100,000 respirator masks. On the telecommunications front, they are making SMS messages free for all customers across their network, on top of free data for customers to access educational and health sites.
