Dr David Wood is currently Consultant, Technology and Innovation, to the European Broadcasting Union, and Co Chair of the ITU Inter Sector Group on Audio Visual Accessibility (IRG-AVA). David was educated at Southampton University in the UK, the Harvard Business School in the United States, and the Popov Institute in the Ukraine. He has worked for the BBC in the UK and the European Broadcasting Union. He has played an active part in Access Systems throughout his career and has led ITU standards activities in digital television, HDTV, UHDTV, and Next Generation Audio.
