Ms Naama Henig

Ms. Henig has been working at the Israeli Ministry of Communications (MoC) since 1988 and was appointed the Head of the International Affairs Department in 1993. She has had a long career in the public sector as a spokesperson and Public Relations Officer in both the MoC (1988-1992) and the Ministry of Economy and Planning (1984-1988), following a career at the Government Press Office, the PM's Office, as a coordinator for the foreign press and national media events (1981-1984).

During her tenure at the MoC, Ms. Henig was a board member of the Israeli Postal Authority (2000-2003; 2005-2006); the Israeli National Film Council (2009-2015); and the Israeli Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Council (2000-2008), where she also served as the acting chair during 2007.

Naama Henig is responsible for the MoC's international relations involving global telecom, internet governance and postal related issues, as well as regional and bilateral matters. She represents the State of Israel in various world and regional organizations and bilateral working groups.

She has a Master's degree in public policy (2012) and mass communications (1992) from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, as well as a B.A in international relations and general history from the same institution. Ms. Henig was born in Israel, lives in Tel Aviv and is mother to Eylon.
