Mr. ZULKARNAIN MOHD YASIN is presently the Chief Compliance Officer for the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). He oversees the planning and management of the activities of the MCMC Compliance Cluster, comprising of four (4) Divisions, namely:

Licensing and Assignment Division;

Network Security and Monitoring Division;

Compliance Division; and

State Coordination Division.

He started his career as an Advocate and Solicitor upon graduating from the University of Malaya with an honours degree in Law. He is regularly featured in media talk shows and speaks at regional and international forums on the subject of social media and the convergence regulatory framework. Mr Zulkarnain actively contributes to a number of government committees on Cyber Security governance and regulatory reform. He is also a member of the Board of Studies Meeting, Masters of Cyber Security for the National University of Malaysia (UKM).
