Charles Yorke is a dedicated humanitarian worker with strong negotiation abilities. He is able to work in multi-cultural environments and emergencies. He has excellent communication and people skills with which he is able to achieve results and attain goals. He was born on 26th May 1983 in Apam, coastal town in the Central Region of Ghana. He had his basic education from 1990 to 1998 and secondary education from 1999 to 2001.He had his university education at the University of Ghana from 2003 to 2007 and graduated with B.A Hons Political Science with Philosophy, first class honours. He proceeded with his Master’s Degree in the International Relations and Diplomacy at University of Ghana from 2012 to 2013 and obtained M.A International Relations and Diplomacy. From 2009 to date, He has worked with the National Disaster Management Organization as a Senior Disaster Control Officer (2009-2011); as Assistant Camp Manager of Buduburam Refugee Camp at the anti-climax of the Liberian refugee crisis (2011-2013) and became the Camp Manager of the same camp from 2013-2014. He currently works as the Regional Coordinator of Ghana Refugee Board with the mandate to providing international protection to Ivorian refugees in the Central and Western Regions of Ghana.
