Michelle Phillips is Ericsson’s Head of Government and Industry Relations for Australia and New Zealand and a member of the Australia and New Zealand Leadership Team.

Michelle’s role is to assess the commercial impact of the complex political and regulatory environment that Ericsson and its customers operate in and advise how and when to influence.

Her role reports into the Strategy, Technology and GIR for Ericsson’s South East Asia, Oceania and India market area and Ericsson’s Global Government and Industry Relations (GIR) team based in Sweden.

Michelle has held government relations and regulatory advisory roles at Optus, the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and for members of the Australian parliament.

Michelle holds a Masters in Communications (with Distinction) from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and an honors degree in Political Science from the Australian National University (ANU).
