Ms Caryn Saslow

Caryn Saslow is a Research Associate at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research - Operational Satellite Applications Programme (UNITAR-UNOSAT). She serves as the technical focal point for satellite-based monitoring of international development projects and web-based geographic information systems. Caryn also works as a geospatial analyst in the areas of humanitarian support, human rights, and security. In the past, she participated in activations of the International Charter on Space and Major Disasters, and produced weekly reports on satellite-based mapping for the UN and EU Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System. Prior to joining UNITAR-UNOSAT, Caryn spent a year as a Fulbright Fellow researching sustainable development education in Geneva, Switzerland. She holds a BA in International Affairs from Skidmore College, as well as an MSc in Environmental Science and a Certificate in Geomatics from the University of Geneva.
