Chris has been at Facebook since early 2012 and leads on spectrum policy providing direct support for the Facebook Connectivity Team. He also leads Facebook’s crisis connectivity response efforts including projects for ebola workers in west Africa, refugees in Greece and Jordan, the 2017 Hurricane Maria response, and connectivity for migrants in Colombia in 2018. Chris also serves on the U.S. Commerce Dept’s Spectrum Management Advisory Committee (CSMAC). Prior to his current role, Chris led the initial strategy of Facebook’s Internet.org global connectivity initiative, and has managed Facebook's partnerships with mobile operators. Before joining Facebook, Chris held a range of senior roles including VP of Business Development at LightSquared and VP of Global Development and Roaming at Sprint Nextel. At Palm he helped launch the first wireless PDA, and at OmniSky, Chris led the product and business development for its wireless portal. Earlier in his career, Chris coded software for telco clients while at Accenture, and provided strategic consulting services to international telco clients while at KPMG. He has an undergraduate degree from Marquette University and an MBA from Dartmouth's Tuck School.
