Dr. Agnes N. Mindila is a Senior lecturer and researcher in the department of Computing at the School of Computing and Information technology (SCIT) of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). She holds PhD Information Technology- ICT for economic Development, from JKUAT. Master of Science degree in Management of Information Technology (MIT) of University of Sunderland, UK and Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering from JKUAT. She is also a System Dynamics expert.
She is currently a Principal Investigator on the following Research Projects: Wireless Sensor networks for Environmental safety management, Blockchain web/mobile application for vaccine supply chain management funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Geofenced Blood Donation System funded by Africa-ai-Japan. She also leads a team of women researchers on a collaborative research between the Department of Computing, Department of Mechatronics and Rhine-Wall University of applied Sciences on “Design and Manufacturing of Assistive technologies with AI and Additive Technologies. She made contribution to the ITU-T Focus Group on Application of Distributed Ledger Technology (FG DLT) Technical Report, a group in the Telecommunication Standardization Sector of International Telecommunication Union (ITU). She has previously contributed to ITU Regional office for Arab Region in the ITU-SUDACAD forum in the areas of ICT’s for clean and sustainable energy, ICT’s for disaster management and ICT’s for green economy.
She is an enthusiast of ICT’s and their contribution to sustainable development.
