Stefan Lechler is Deputy and acting Head of the Electronic Communications Policy unit of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT) since August 2018. Before joining DG CNECT in 2013 Mr. Lechler worked in DG Competition and in the Legal Service of the Council of the European Union. Prior to joining the EU institutions in 2008, Mr. Lechler first had worked as a lawyer for a US law firm in Brussels and then for ten years for Deutsche Telekom AG in Bonn, heading the legal department's unit for competition law and major litigation.
