Eng. Tarig Hamza Zain El Abdein took over as President & Chief Executive Officer of Sudatel Telecom Group in 2014. He holds a BA (Honors) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Khartoum, and an MA in Engineering Management (MEM) and Business Administration from Old Dominion University in the United States.

Mr. Zain El Abdein is the Chairman of Board of Directors of United Capital Bank and Chairman of six companies namely: Expresso Dubai, Dolphin Co.ltd, Sudasat, Intercel Guinea Conakry, Chinguitel Mauritania and Expresso Senegal. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Electronic Banking Systems (EBS) and a member of the Board of Directors of El Nileen Bank and SAMENA Council

Mr. Mr. Zain El Abdein has extended role in the Sudanese and international society. In 2017, Mr. Zain El Abdein was appointed as Honorary Consul of the Republic Azerbaijan, by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and In 2016 he was appointed as a member of the Steering Committee of the United Nations "Action for Peace", B4P.

He has more than 24 years of extensive experience in the field of telecommunications. Before joining Sudatel, Mr. Zain El Abdein worked, circa decade, in senior positions in major international companies such as Lucent Technologies (AT&T), WIFI and Cingular Wireless, in different parts of the world, including the United States and Saudi Arabia. He won several academic awards in the field of operational research (VMASC), and from scientific publications such as System Modelling in the United States. He is a member of several scientific and engineering associations such as: Golden Key international (ASQ, USA), IEEE-USA, ODU Engineering Honors Society, PMU (USA), and the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society (USA).
