Michiel has more than 15 years’ experience in advising some of the most active TMT players in the Europe both from a financing and M&A perspective. In his current position as Global Head Telecom, Michiel leads the origination and execution of transactions for telecom clients, providing him with unparalleled insight into the latest developments in the sector. Within ING, TMT is one of the core sectors covered on a global basis with c. 100 dedicated professionals based mainly in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Singapore and New York. Prior to joining the TMT sector team, Michiel worked in ING Bank’s M&A team in Amsterdam and London, during which time he advised key players in the TMT sector. Michiel holds a Masters in Business Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
