ICTs have the
power to accelerate progress towards the
achievement of all Millennium Development
Goals, and there are many possible ways to
achieve this. The purpose of this high level
panel is to draw attention to most important
aspects for the ICT4D and to seek answers to
the following questions: How can ICTs be
used most effectively across a variety of
sectors to help achieve the Millennium
Development Goals? What can we learn from
ICT projects in developing countries and
transition economies about proper design,
sustainability and impact of such
interventions? What can be still done during
the remaining 6 years?
