How to Make In-kind Contributions
to WSIS-2005
Contact the WSIS Executive Secretariat (see contact information below) to inform them of your government/organization’s intention to make an in-kind contribution.
Priority Areas for Tunis Phase In-kind Support
There will be many activities which contribute to the success of the Summit. However, the WSIS-2005 Fundraising Campaign is focussed on attracting contributions to support the core preparatory process and the Tunis Summit itself, including special requirements as stipulated in the rules of procedures of the Summit. Other activities, such as side events organized by various stakeholders, or activities undertaken or financed by the host country, Tunisia, are not within the mandate of the fundraising campaign.
The core priorities for in-kind contributions to the WSIS-2005 Fundraising Campaign include the following:
1. Interpretation and translation services (six official languages of the United Nations).
2.
Meeting venues and related services (logistics, protocol, conference services) to PrepCom meetings.3. Staff with experience in areas such as registration and accreditation, logistics, civil society liaison and coordination, protocol, database management, finance and accounting and administrative support. Support is also required for expenses related to staff including mission expenses.
